What does a bespoke deisgned trial mean?

Each experiment has it's own characteristics eg: a certain number of animals or plots are required. By carrying out statistical power calculations, adhering to animal welfare obligations and ethics, we can ensure that a research plan wil be designed to high standards and it will provide real world replication.

Where is the research conducted?

Golden Vale Research is based in Maginstown which is a beef and tillage farm. Therefore, we can conduct research on beef cattle, tillage, equipment and technology there. For dairy research, we use neighbouring dairy farms' facilities and livestock. All farms are subjected to relevant animal welfare inspections.
